The celebration of the victory of Good over Evil; the 10 day state festival of Karnataka, Mysore Dasara 2018 will be inaugurated on 10th October 2018 at Chamundeshwari Temple atop the Chamundi Hill. Starting with Navaratri (meaning nine Nights) and the last day being Vijayadashami, legend says it was the day when Goddess Durga killed the demon Mahishasura.
